* Some research studies seek to gather opinions from people in a certain age group or who have prior experience with a certain product, for example. These surveys will ask a few qualifying questions up front in order to determine if a panelist meets these qualifications. If a panelist does not meet the qualifications, he or she will still be rewarded with a small cash amount as a thank you.
